    San Francisco Public Library now offers OpenOffice

    The last time that I was in the San Francisco Public Library, they offered only Microsoft Office for document creation at their public terminals. Now, there is no access at all to Microsoft Office. Instead, the library offers only OpenOffice for word processing, spreadsheets, and slideshow presentations!     An amazing add for Android, which is a Linux operating system, is being projected onto a building in Germany's capital, Berlin. Click here to go to this amazing YouTube video. This is truly a digital tipping point, as it makes an example of mainstream advertising for the Linux operating system. Linux Android now powers more smartphones than any other operating system on earth, and more people will soon be accessing the Internet via smartphones than Microsoft-powered PCs.
    Linux phones now 2x more popular than iPhone

    Linux phones are now selling more than twice the volume of iPhones, and Microsoft phones are so small as to not even be mentioned in market share, according to a recent Techcrunch article. Google’s Android Linux operating system now accounts for 43.4% of all smartphone sales, up from 17.2% Q2 2010. And Apple reached 18.2%, up from 14.1% at the same time. Click here to read more.
